A forklift bend that becomes slippery after each shift may be picking up oil from one machine, carrying incompatible detergent residue or exposing worn coating. A small trial and a walk along the traffic route help separate those causes.
The route that contamination follows
The survey begins beyond the worst patch and follows spills, vehicle transfer, drainage and the products used by routine cleaners. That pattern shows whether a removable contaminant is spreading from elsewhere or whether maintenance and floor repair are also needed. Record when and where grip changes, the materials moved through the zone and the products or machines used for routine cleaning. Mark repeated leaks, worn coatings and spill locations.
What a floor trial can establish
A representative test section is chosen after the source route has been checked. Its result can show removable contamination, detergent residue, staining or exposed wear before a larger traffic area is closed.
The trial records the product, equipment, dwell time, recovery and drying period used on the real floor.
If the trial works, the floor is divided into sections that can be closed to people and vehicles until cleaning and drying are complete.
Staining, worn coating and active leaks remain visible in the handover so they are not presented as failed cleaning.
Cleaning can remove a suitable surface contaminant, but it cannot repair a failed coating or stop an untreated leak. We say that plainly. Arrange an assessment of the slippery floor and tell us where the issue is most noticeable.
